Toshiba signs strategic business agreement with PinnacleHealth

For the next five years, 85% of PinnacleHealth’s newly acquired medical imaging systems will come from Toshiba’s full product portfolio including CT, Interventional Labs, X-ray, Ultrasound and MRI.

The first phase of purchases for PinnacleHealth include $14.5 million in Toshiba medical imaging equipment, including five MR systems, five CT systems, 11 Ultrasound systems and eight X-ray systems. One of the CT systems to be acquired by PinnacleHealth is the Toshiba Aquilion Onetm, a volume CT system with 320 detector rows of coverage.

Through these business agreements, Toshiba also provides value added services such as consulting engagements, productivity and efficiency solutions, and marketing services for the hospital.

Phil Guarneschelli, COO of PinnacleHealth, said: “By partnering with Toshiba, PinnacleHealth is creating commonality of equipment within all our facilities, which helps increase patient care by streamlining workflow and training for technologists and physicians.”
