Wyeth announced that the jury in the cases of Joyce Townley versus Wyeth and Pamela Williams versus Wyeth in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas found in favor of Wyeth in both cases.
The company also announced today that the jury in the case of Gail Roork versus Wyeth in a Jefferson County District Court in Beaumont, Texas found in favor of Wyeth.
Attorneys representing Wyeth said the company was pleased with the verdicts. The pharmaceutical firm will also no doubt be cheered by the slight rise its share price has seen following the announcements.
Furthermore, the news comes as something of a ray of light after Wyeth announced just days beforehand the termination of a phase III clinical program evaluating an oral formulation of its cancer treatment candidate temsirolimus in women with metastatic breast cancer.
