Saint Maurice’s laboratories process 2,000 tests per day and include the following specialties: biochemistry, toxicology, hematology, microbiology and immunology. Twelve analyzers will be connected directly to EdgeLab via Inlog’s EdgeLink gateway. The sites will be equipped with ‘Tablet PC’s’ for the entry of bacteriology results. The total laboratory solution is completed by Inlog’s SapaNet module for stock management and EdgeNet for providing testing results via a webpage.
According to Global Med Technologies, EdgeLab connects with more than 1,000 analyzers and interchanges data with all major hospital healthcare software packages. It has an intuitive Windows graphical interface and a comprehensive range of laboratory functionality.
Will Willman, senior vice president of sales and marketing EU/ME/Asia at Global Med Technologies, said: “We are very pleased to provide our complete laboratory package to the Saint Maurice Hospitals. Inlog can provide one stop shopping for all the clinical and non-clinical information system needs of a laboratory with EdgeLab, SapaNet, EdgeLink and EdgeNet, and Saint Maurice has taken advantage of this. We look forward to helping Saint Maurice Hospitals continue to provide quality laboratory services to their physicians and patients.”
