It has been approved for use as a pharmaceutical product in India to help reduce pain and inflammation in patients with joint conditions. In the US, Celadrin is currently available in oral form as a dietary supplement and as an over-the-counter topical cream.
The product has been shown to be safe and effective in several clinical studies. In one study, subjects with knee joint conditions who used Celadrin in cream form showed significant improvement in quality of life measurements such as getting up from a seated position and stair climbing.
