Paracetamol and caffeine tablets are used to treat mild to moderate pain, such as headache, migraine, toothache, sore throat, muscular and rheumatic pain, nerve pain, backache and menstrual cramps. The tablets are also effective in relieving aches, pains, sore throat and fever associated with colds and flu, the company said.
Juan Yue Han, China Aoxing’s CEO and chairman, said: “We are very excited to become one of a handful of pharmaceutical companies with this restricted production license approved by the China State Food and Drug Administration. The approval adds one more product to our marketing arsenal and solidifies our position in pain-management therapies in China.
“This drug is approved as an over-the-counter product, targeting mild to moderate pain, which is synergistic with our narcotic drug pipeline products, which target moderate to severe pain. We expect to launch this product in early 2009, shortly after the completion of GMP certification.”
