Restorelle Y is said to be constructed with a physiologically compatible mesh material – Smartmesh technology – which was designed by surgeons specifically for the female anatomy and physiology.
Utilizing an ultrasonically welded Y-shaped graft, the Restorelle Y procedure can be performed using an abdominal, laparoscopic, or robotic approach. The low profile of the device not only leaves less mesh behind in the patient’s body, but also enables easy passage through narrow laparoscopic ports, the company said.
Ian Stevens, CEO of Mpathy Medical, said: “Restorelle Y was developed with the needs of our surgeons and patients in mind. We are confident this product delivers upon our mission to offer less invasive surgical mesh solutions which yield better outcomes for patients.”
