NextGen Healthcare Information Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Quality Systems, provides integrated clinical, financial and connectivity solutions for ambulatory, inpatient and dental provider organizations.
As per the terms of the agreement, ACT Health Management Services, a managed services organisation, will provide ACT Medical Group members with access to the integrated NextGen platform.
The NextGen platform is expected to offer the technical flexibility needed to support the care model, such as the ability to handle high patient volumes as it relates to rounding and enabling clinicians to work offline at certain remote locations and then synchronise data at a later time.
ACT Health Management Services and ACT Medical Group president Erinn Beekman said that their mission is to partner with customers and clinicians to provide quality patient care while also creating an environment that offers clinician satisfaction and retention.
"We’re very excited about the product’s ePrescribing functionality because it will enable providers to meet mandatory Meaningful Use criteria and also help us solve logistical challenges we currently face with patients that have to pick up prescriptions," Beekman said.
NextGen claimed that its Ambulatory EHR and Practice Management both provide reporting capabilities that can be leveraged to accurately track quality improvement measures.
Further, NextGen Practice Management can be used to help identify service offerings that may not have been previously billed.
NextGen Healthcare president Scott Decker said that they applaud ACT Health Management Services for taking a forward-thinking approach to supporting its client’s needs, both from a clinical and administrative standpoint.
