Adcock opens integrated manufacturing facility in South Africa

The new ZAR300m ($38.3m) facility is in compliance with the international Pharmaceutical Inspection Convention and Pharmaceutical Co-operation Scheme Standards adopted by the South African Medicines Control Council.

Adcock Ingram CEO Jonathan Louw said the facility operates to world-class standards to manufacture life-saving and life-changing products.

The upgraded facility exports the products to countries in sub-Saharan Africa, including Zimbabwe, Uganda and Tanzania.

The plant, in the Aeroton industrial area, is producing sterilized products such as filled drip bags, ampoules and dialysis solutions.
