With this acquisition, athenahealth will ramp up its care coordination service, athenaCoordinator.
Following the acquisition, athenahealth plans to integrate Proxsys and its service offerings onto its centrally hosted, cloud-based service platform, athenaNet.
The transaction is expected to close during Q3 2011.
