Akaza Releases OpenClinica 3.0

Akaza Research announces the beta release of OpenClinica 3.0. It is expected to bring a host of new capabilities to the growing open source electronic data capture and clinical data management software.

Paul Galvin, development manager at Akaza Research, said: This release of OpenClinica builds on the software’s strengths and includes a series of new features requested by our users.”

Some of the system improvements include source data verification tools, task-oriented navigation, study dashboards and a web services API.

In addition to adding features we have significantly improved the application’s performance. For example, users will notice an order of magnitude improvement in application speed for studies with over 10,000 subjects and over 1 million data points, added Galvin.

As open source software, OpenClinica is free for organizations to use and modify.
