Bosch unveils new sterilizer ADV

The product has been developed by Schoeller-Bleckmann Medizintechnik (SBM), a subsidiary of Bosch Packaging Technology.

SBM general manager Alfred Kaliwoda said the systems achieve an availability of up to 99.9% for the sterilization of single-use contact lenses.

"With the sterilizer ADV, we combine our core competencies in an especially flexible and versatile machine which ensures high availability and process security,"Kaliwoda added.

"With this combination as standard solution, we have consequently expanded the market position of Bosch in pharmaceutical sterilization."

The vacuum process of the sterilizer ADV is also suited for sterilizing machine parts, filters, rubber stoppers as well as machine cavities using the steam/vacuum process.

The ADV has been developed for research institutes and laboratories, as well as for the pharmaceutical and biotechnical industries, according to the company.
