Capsugel opens new quality control laboratory in US

The company’s new global center of excellence houses quality control and testing of raw materials besides specialty testing of finished products for its manufacturing sites and R&D laboratories across the world.

Capsugel president and CEO Guido Driesen said quality is a core principle that offers added value to its customers.

"Our thorough testing equates to faster time to market as our products are designed to comply with today’s strict regulations," Driesen added.

The 9,600ft² facility provides a range of analytical and microbial services in addition to development of color formulations using sophisticated equipment such as walk-in stability chambers and photo stability chambers.

Equipment at the facility is used to prop up the shelf life of the finished products and carry out various studies that determine the quality of capsules in varying temperature and humidity settings.
