China Botanic is a company engaged in the research, development, manufacturing, and distribution of botanical products, bio-pharmaceutical products, and traditional Chinese medicines (TCM), in the People’s Republic of China,
The company has posted a net income of $10.95m for the first quarter 2010, or $0.29 per diluted share, compared to net income of $7.38m, or $0.20 per diluted share, for the comparable period in 2010.
The company’s income from operations was $11.65m, compared to $7.37m for the comparable period in 2010.
China Botanic chairman and CEO Shaoming Li said in the first quarter of 2011, they focused on the marketing efforts to further strengthen demand for the products and increase market acceptance.
"We expect to continue to deliver strong revenue and net income growth for the rest of fiscal year 2011, largely driven by increased market demand for botanical and traditional Chinese medicines and the maintenance of higher price levels for our products," Li said.
