Clariant head of Global Market Segment Medical and Pharmaceutical Stephen Duckworth will head this sector-specific segment which will manage the development, production, marketing and technical support.
MEVOPUR color masterbatches and custom performance compounds are manufactured exclusively for medical and pharmaceutical applications, and produced under specially controlled conditions at three of Clariant’s ISO 13485 certified sites in the US, Sweden and Singapore.
MEVOPUR uses biologically evaluated raw materials (tested against USP parts 87 and 88 (Class VI devices) and/or the international standard ISO10993.
The new group will include a dedicated commercial team, a dedicated global manager and medical and pharmaceutical technical managers.
It extrapolates Clariant’s commitment to provide customized application knowledge and product expertise to the medical device and pharmaceutical packaging industries.
Customers will now be able to meet the increasingly strict controls governing end-product ingredients, design, production and product approval requirements.
Clariant head of MS Consumer Goods & Medical Europe North / CEE Roland Martensson said a dedicated global medical device and pharmaceutical segment will enable the company to increase support to its sales teams, market development, technical specialists, and to the MEVOPUR production and development facilities in the US, Europe and Asia.
