Clinix Medical Information Services (ClinixMIS) has released version 7.5 of ClinixMD, an upgrade to its Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. The new release is expected to enhance medical record keeping capabilities, as well as increase efficiency and ease of use for physician practices and billing companies.
The company said that the new features include ePrescribing Certification with SureScripts under the latest SureScripts standards. The upgrade also includes increased functionality of scanned forms and enhancements to faxing and messaging capabilities. Development of a G-Code generator for the eRx reporting makes the user experience faster and more intuitive.
The company added that with its ASP-based architecture, its upgrades are available immediately and automatically to users. With low start-up and no maintenance costs, the company requires no dedicated server at the physician’s office, and integrates with ClinixPM, the company’s practice management system.
Jerry Killough, president and CEO of ClinixMIS, said: In developing the 7.5 version upgrade, we have done our homework and most importantly, responded directly to the needs of our users and the demands of the ever-changing healthcare industry.
