The new kits will allow pharmacists to dispense the compounded prescriptions containing widely used proton pump inhibitors (PPIs).
FIRST products will save dispensing time, and can be compounded by the pharmacist while the patient waits, increasing customer satisfaction, the company said.
The third party reimbursement process, and reduces audit-related adjustments are facilitated by a single NDC number assigned for the entire Kit.
CutisPharma founder, chairman, and CEO Indu Muni said that their three different sizes of packaging, 3oz, 5oz, and 10oz, provide considerable prescribing flexibility.
"Since the suspensions are made using powders, and not pellets, our new compounded suspensions will flow more easily through nasogastric tubes, with minimal clogging compared to current practice," Muni added.
