Datapharm introduces Dai-Sys to unite local CROs for international clinical trials

Initiated in 2009, the concept has been designed to offer an alternative to global CROs and to reduce R&D costs, while leveraging local expertise and quality.

Enabling select local members to run clinical trials from anywhere across the globe, Dai-Sys is designed to offer a range of quality and cost effective solutions to sponsors.

Datapharm CEO Dr Helen Allars said Dai-Sys enables creation of a unique international industry co-operative to provide support to bio-product developers.

"Dai-Sys offers an innovative non-bureaucratic system that is cost competitive with lower overheads using local rates and high quality experienced local organizations- members are selected for their knowledge of local issues with a history of success," Allars added.

With representation in over 18 countries, and covered in Europe, Latin America, Australia and New Zealand, DAI-SYS CRO Plus links medium-sized to small experienced CROs together into a homogenous team offering an alternative to multinational CROs.

"Datapharm has many CRO friends globally, and we are currently in discussions with a number of companies regarding extending the Dai-Sys membership in Asia, Africa and North America" Dr Allars noted.

Currently, the CROs include Datapharm, MTZ Clinical Research, LatAm Clinical Trials, Larix and SynCro.
