European patent covers a chemical structure and new chemical process of the chemistry platform technology, developed for therapeutic and cosmetic purpose.
Sirona Biochem chief executive officer Neil Belenkie said the chemistry technology that obtained the patent addresses challenges related to carbohydrate chemistry.
"The positive data resulting from our proprietary technology has proven that our expertise is highly relevant in therapeutic, cosmetic and biological development and we will continue to aggressively expand and strengthen our award-winning patent portfolio globally," Belenkie added.
