Fresenius Kabi voluntarily recalls one lot of Magnesium Sulfate Injection, USP

After a regular company inspection of retained product samples, the recall was announced due to the possible presence of glass particles in the vials.

Magnesium sulfate electrolyte replacement therapy is indicated for the treatment of magnesium deficiency, and as an anticonvulsant to prevent and control seizures in severe toxemia of pregnancy.

With a Product Code 6450, the recalled product was packaged as 500mg/mL strength in 50mL glass vials with 25 vials each tray.

The expiration date of product shipped in the US is 31 October 2014.
