An analysis of the weight loss dietary supplement by the FDA found that the product contains undeclared Sibutramine, not approved by the agency, and therefore the safety and effectiveness of the product is unknown.
The FDA advises that Slim Xtreme Herbal Slimming Capsule 30 Capsules/Bottle poses a threat to consumers because Sibutramine is known to substantially increase blood pressure and/or pulse rate in some patients and may present a significant risk for patients with a history of coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias or stroke.
With abundance of caution, Globe All Wellness is voluntarily recalling all lots of Slim Xtreme from the market as a precautionary measure.
The company said the recall does not affect the sales and distribution of Globe All Wellness’ other products such as SLIM XTREME GOLD or GELSLIM.
