The agreements enable global travelers covered by HTH’s international health insurance programs to arrange convenient appointments for diagnostic and treatment services and to have the clinics bill HTH directly for their services. HTH is said to be the first international health insurer to contract with these facilities.
HTH pursued these clinic contracts on behalf of a major university client and applied its strict selection criteria and years of contracting experience to create convenient access to Partners in Hope Medical Centre, City Centre Clinic, Mars International Clinic and African Bible College Community Clinic.
According to the company, world travelers can visit these clinics if they are in need of primary care, radiology, laboratory or pharmacy services. The Partners in Hope Medical Center also conducts basic science in infectious diseases and vaccine development in collaboration with researchers at the University of California at Los Angeles.
Laura Hilton, director of global health and safety resources at HTH, said: HTH is very pleased to have created these relationships to help ensure that international travel to Malawi is safe, healthy and rewarding. The clinics of Lilwonge are a welcome addition to our worldwide community of carefully selected medical facilities.
