Integrative Therapeutics launches nutritional supplement Glycation Manager

The new product is designed to reduce the formation of advanced glycation end-products (AGEs) associated with normal metabolism and aging.

AGEs are the result of a common enzymatic reaction of simple sugars with proteins or fats. Reducing the process of glycation can help support glucose metabolism and cellular aging.

Integrative Therapeutics Medical Advisory Board member Dr Gaetano Morello said that glycation processes are normal, but it becomes a problem due to lifestyle and food choices.

"However, certain dietary ingredients and supplements have been shown to support optimal function by maintaining glycation levels within a more ideal range," Morello added.

Glycation Manager features clinically-studied levels of benfotiamine, which is a form of thiamine, chromium, and biotin, indicated to help support healthy levels of two glycation indicators, HbA1c and fructosamine, according to the company.

It also contains preparation of turmeric, Theracurmin, which enhances bioavailability and significantly increases curcumin levels in the blood.
