Linguamatics Expands US-Based Opeations

Linguamatics witnessed corporate growth in 2009, with the addition of new pharmaceutical customers combined with expansion in deployment of the I2E semantic knowledge-discovery platform within existing customers.

Linguamatics has stepped up recruitment in software development and business operations to meet this increased demand for its agile text mining software. One key new appointment is that of David Keilman as director of channels and alliances, with responsibility for strategic partner relationships.

David Keilman brings more than 15 years experience of enterprise sales and partner leadership, having held senior roles at 170 Systems, Sophos and Genuity. Mr Keilman has a strong technology background covering managed hosting services, security software and services, managed network services, storage solutions and ERP workflow integration.

John Brimacombe, executive chairman of Linguamatics, said: “2009 proved to be a landmark year for Linguamatics with I2E established as the text mining software of choice within life science and related organizations. We particularly value the addition of David’s partnering skills to accelerate our growth as we also expand through new business channels.”

Mr Keilman said: “Linguamatics’ strength for answering high-value questions from text is proven. We’re seeing exciting partnering opportunities that will provide customers with significant additional value for knowledge discovery and management.”
