Under the purchase agreement, Maine will manufacture, market, sell and distribute laboratory products such as microbiological monitors in both 47mm and 56mm sizes, ready-to-use liquid growth media as well as ZapCap brand of bottle top filtration units and various Centrex centrifugal filters.
Maine Manufacturing president Bill Emhiser said the addition of the laboratory products fits nicely with the company’s recently acquired filter and membrane business of GE Osmonics.
"These products from GE Healthcare are well recognized brands with a wide range of applications, and allow us to provide customers a broad offering to meet their various need," Emhiser added.
"As we are doing with the GE Osmonics laboratory products, the team at Maine Manufacturing plans to expand both customer and applications support.
