Mankind Pharma (Mankind) has received government of Himachal Pradesh’s approval to establish another facility in the state, stated the company.
Reportedly, the company has installed its second unit at Paonta Sahib in Sirmaur district. It is the same place where the first manufacturing unit is located, as said by Manoj Kumar, industries director told IANS.
Manoj Kumar, director industries, said: “The company will start production by 2011. This is the first company that has agreed to set up a unit after the special industrial package to expires (March 2010).”
The company said that the facility involves an investment of INR 390m. Mr Kumar has also added that the government has given permission to establish a furniture manufacturing unit by Design Edgeat at Nalagarh in Solan district.
The company official said: “Design Edge will invest INR 265m and will make modular furniture. Before setting up the unit, it has to get environmental clearance from the central empowered committee of the Supreme Court.”
