Prior to joining Medivir, Edenius served as senior vice president and chief scientific officer of Swedish pharmaceutical company Orexo.
Edeniuss has also worked as the vice president and chief scientific officer of Biolipox in 2001-2007 and various executive positions in Experimental Medicine, Clinical R&D AstraZeneca, at Sodertalje, Sweden in 1995-2001.
Medivir R&D CSO Bertil Samuelsson said that Edenius’ knowledge of the life sciences sector, from the research side, preclinical and clinical development, would reinforce their strategic endeavor to become a profitable medium-sized company within a five-year period.
