Mednax, a provider of neonatal, maternal-fetal and pediatric physician services, has implemented Courion’s Enterprise Suite to assure access to critical systems and data for its approximately 5,000 clinical and administrative employees.
Courion said that Mednax is using its Enterprise Suite to automate the process of managing physician and employee access to applications. This replaces labour-intensive manual procedures and simplifies the process for proving compliance with regulations such as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, by automatically enforcing user access policies. Automation of these processes helps Mednax create efficiencies for controlling user access and reduce costs associated with handling access requests.
Courion also said that Enterprise Suite also provides Mednax’s affiliated practice clinicians with self-service password reset and synchronizsation across all practices so users only require one password to access all of their systems, helping to improve productivity and reduce password reset calls to the help desk.
