Mylan’s new headquarter site is located within the Town Center Overlay District located along Town Center Boulevard.
The new headquarters is expected to include an approximate 280,000sq ft, five-story, LEED-certified, Class-A office building with associated infrastructure and parking.
Mylan executive chairman Robert Coury said in order to support the Mylan’s expanding business, it has have more than doubled the number of employees located at its corporate headquarters in this same time frame, and it would expect hiring in the area to continue.
Coury added, "Construction and design of the new facility will focus on the growing needs of our global business, our dedicated employees as well as current and future environmental impact."
"This facility, in combination with all of our extraordinary assets, will continue to build upon our one-of-a-kind global operating platform and support Mylan’s commitment to setting new standards in health care and providing the world’s seven billion people with access to high quality medicine."
The building is likely to be completed in 2013.
