Oceans Omega chief technology officer Dr. Volker Berl said, "This enables us to further scale our volumes, while strengthening our supply chain and leveraging DSM’s world-class life’sDHA and Meg-3 oils in our emulsion products."
According to the deal, DSM Nutritional will produce Oceans’ OTEC emulsion ingredients.
DSM Nutritional Products marketing and business development VP Joseph LaPlaca said, "Their innovative stabilization technology along with our high quality omega-3 oils and world class production facilities can help provide the needed omega-3 fortification to numerous product applications that have been challenging in the past."
DSM supplies omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins, carotenoids and other ingredients to the feed, food, dietary supplement and personal care industries.
