PPG’s packaging coatings are used for containers for the pharmaceutical, beverage, food, cosmetic, paint and chemical industries.
Approximately 70 Bairun employees involved with sales, research and development, quality control, technical support, manufacturing and warehousing will transfer with the business.
PPG Industrial Coatings senior vice president and PPG Asia / Pacific president Viktor Sekmakas said that the acquisition fits with PPG’s strategy to grow in coatings and specialty products, especially in regions such as Asia/Pacific.
