Prasco plans to start shipping Nitrofurantoin Oral Suspension immediately in the US under the Prasco label.
Nitrofurantoin is used to treat urinary tract infections.
Prasco CEO Thomas Arington said the company is pleased to work with Shionogi to extend another of its brands, Furadantin Oral Suspension, into their authorized generic product line as Nitrofurantoin Oral Suspension.
