The partnership, a part of its Prime Site program, is designed to increase access to clinical trials for both patients and investigators, quickening the collection of data about the safety and efficacy of investigational therapies.

Quintiles Integrated Site Services Lindy Jones said, "This partnership will further enhance our ability to recruit patients and investigators – two groups critical to an efficient and effective drug development process."
Pursuant to the partnership, Quintiles will launch new technology that uses electronic health records to improve the identification of patients for potential inclusion in clinical research.
Scotland Cabinet Secretary for Health and Well-Being Alex Neil said, "These developments demonstrate the importance that we place on research within NHS Scotland, and will help to further enhance Scotland’s growing reputation as a global centre of excellence for clinical research."
