Levofloxacin injection is the generic form of the antibacterial Levaquin.
Levofloxacin injection is indicated for the adults >= 18 years of age suffering from infections associated by designated, susceptible bacteria including: nosocomial and community acquired pneumonia, sinusitis, chronic bronchitis, skin and skin structure infections, prostatitis, urinary tract infection, pyelonephritis.
Sagent Pharma CEO, founder and chairman of the board Jeffrey Yordon said as with other products in theri anti-infective portfolio, levofloxacin injection is used because of its efficacy on wide variety of bacterial infections.
