Sartorius Stedim Biotech introduces smartphone app for membrane chromatography

Offering links to all literature available in the digital library to the mobile user, the Sartobind App features a flow rate calculator, an isoelectric point list for proteins and viruses, a comprehensive chromatography glossary, and a FAQ document.

The product finder feature allows selection of required membranes useful to capture chromatography which is used in binding viruses or large proteins versus flow-through polishing processes, host cell proteins and other charged contaminants from the objective molecule.

Users who are new to chromatography can use the Ion Exchange Calculator to understand the interplay between pH and the isoelectric point of the protein of interest in a better way.

The flexible search function enables downloading application notes and other literature by search parameters that are related to the target molecule, membrane type, device format and scale.
