Sigma-Aldrich To Sell Proteome Trademark Products

The license will also include all future products sold under the ProteoPrep trademark that contain chemicals and reagents for the disruption of cells, tissues or other biological material and the extraction of biological molecules like proteins, lipids and carbohydrates. Sigma currently supplies 11 ProteoPrep kits.

Methods and processes relating to assays for the diagnosis of diseases and chemical markers determining targets for drugs and for determining proteins and peptides are also included under the license, which provides Proteome with a signature fee and royalties on all ProteoPrep sales.

Christopher Pearce, CEO of Proteome Sciences, said: “We are delighted to have concluded the license with Sigma-Aldrich Corporation for the ProteoPrep trademark and look forward to receiving this new stream of revenue from royalties generated by their successful and expanding range of ProteoPrep products.”
