Zynx Health has released a new user interface (UI) in version 2.0 of its web-based content management system (CMS), AuthorSpace. The improvements build upon the feature-rich foundation of AuthorSpace, are streamlining the process for deploying customised evidence-based clinical content at the point of care.
It also provides simplified tools to optimise the workflow for organising, editing and reviewing order sets and plans of care offering clinicians increased convenience for online review.
The company said that the AuthorSpace 2.0 provides a new UI with intuitive navigation, faster workflow, and superior compatibility with information systems. Additionally, the content review feature ViewSpace offers more options for reviewing content remotely, as it supports the Mac-compatible browsers Apple Safari and Mozilla Firefox.
Clinicians can review order set and plan of care content anytime, anywhere increasing the efficiency of the consensus-building process.
The new intuitive UI and design of AuthorSpace 2.0 requires minimal training time, making it easy to bring on new AuthorSpace users. This ease of use not only helps organisations deploy evidence-based clinical decision support to meet American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) requirements and avoid penalties, but it also streamlines the consensus-building process, and therefore allows physicians to focus more resources on patient care.
AuthorSpace is a key component of the Zynx Health suite of products in that it is the efficient content management system available for customising and managing the components of order sets and plans of care, including standard terminology catalogs.
Reportedly, Zynx clients can customise evidence-based order set templates from ZynxOrder and evidence-based plan of care templates from ZynxCare for their facilities. AuthorSpace also comes with the service support from a Zynx Health client manager to facilitate and ensure success in implementation.
Scott Weingarten, president and CEO of Zynx Health, said: “We have a long history of innovation, including driving evidence-based clinical decision support to the point of care. AuthorSpace 2.0 will make it easier for our rapidly growing client base of more than 1,700 hospitals to deploy clinical decision support in diverse electronic health records and computerised provider order entry systems.”
