Under the agreement, Institute of Microbiology has agreed to manufacture natural source interferon products using A5 Labs’ proprietary production technology.
Subsequently, A5 Labs plans to submit the products manufactured at the Institute of Microbiology for in-vitro and in-vivo testing according to USP (US Pharmacopaeia) guidelines at multi-centered independent laboratories.
A5 Labs president and CEO Richard Azani said that they are extremely pleased to sign this partnership agreement with Institute of Microbiology.
"This is a highly significant milestone which will provide a leap forward towards the commercialisation of their natural source interferon products," Azani said.
"Following the laboratory and scale up production of our products we will immediately begin our veterinary trials and submission of our application for human clinical trials."
