The new primary packing suite will enable the company, which specialises in the supply, storage and distribution of temperature sensitive pharmaceutical and biotech products, to fill tablets and capsules into pots and bottles providing a fast response to clients’ requests for Phase I and early Phase II supplies, also allowing for ‘just in time’ primary packing of clinical trial supplies.

In addition, the new facilities will enhance the company’s ability to manage returned medication from clinical trials, providing full reconciliation of returned tablets and capsules, opening bottles, pots and blisters and the counting of unused materials.

The MHRA approved service can also be provided by Biotec on a named patient (specials) or compassionate use basis.
