Previously clinical trial materials had to be shipped via Los Angeles, or other US airports, which led to longer journey times and higher risks of temperature deviations and delays to sensitive biological products. As a result of this new direct flight, Biotec Services International and its clients in the US can now transfer such products direct to London, quickly and more securely, minimising potentially disastrous shipment issues associated with long transit times.

Jeremy Martin, Technical Support Manager, from Biotec Services International said, "These flights will be of great benefit to Biotec and our clients, it will help us to overcome previous connection issues, making the whole process quicker and more attractive for our clients."

As the world’s largest pharma market, the US is crucial to Biotec, and at a recent event, the Transatlantic Business Lunch with the American Embassy held at the Institute of Life Sciences at Swansea University, Biotec’s Fiona Withey, Business Development & Project Management Director, was invited to speak about Biotec’s success in the area.
