The new image and website occurs fifteen years after Cerbios-Pharma SA was established when three companies merged in 1994: CERNITIN SA, BIOFERMENT SA and SAPEC SA. The name CERBIOS itself was created by partially using the initials of the three original companies. The company logo created in 1994 also incorporated the same colours of the corresponding companies as shown in the existing company logo. The names of two of the original companies were maintained within Cerbios-Pharma SA as division names: Bioferment Division (for the biological activities) and Sapec Division (for the chemical activities).

After more than fifteen years of evolution and investments made by Cerbios’ shareholders in both Chemistry and Biotechnology, the company image reflected in the logo, website, brochure and presentations, was no longer effectively representing everything Cerbios has become. All visitors, including partners or potential new partners of the production site, were in fact surprised to see a state-of-the-art and sophisticated plant very different from what Cerbios’ image portrayed.

The new company image now successfully reflects a company that has radically changed during the past ten years. The logo is also directly related to our activities: the orange dots, represent “small
molecules” and consequently the chemical activities at Cerbios and the larger blue form represents a “large molecule” which corresponds to the biological activities at Cerbios. With this change, the divisions have also been renamed the Chemical and Biological Divisions.

The website has a completely new design and aspect. It now provides complete information on all Cerbios-Pharma SA activities, services and products. Pages like JOBS, SITEMAP and LINKS complement all technical information.
