IDBS and ChemAxon Extend Strategic Relationship

IDBS, a global provider of innovative data management, analytics and modeling solutions, and ChemAxon, a leading provider of cheminformatics software for the life sciences industry, announce today the extension of their relationship.

IDBS is the world’s most advanced R&D data management provider, according to Frost & Sullivan. Its customers are able to collaborate and become more efficient by implementing software which manages process improvement, secures data and integrates information across multiple scientific disciplines. In addition to its established business across pharmaceuticals R&D, IDBS has recently expanded across fine chemicals, petrochemicals and polymer R&D with customers including BASF, Total and CSIRO.

ChemAxon provides chemistry software toolkits and desktop applications including structure based prediction and library enumeration capabilities which are to now be included in IDBS products. By expanding its relationship with ChemAxon, IDBS can now offer customers direct access to extended cheminformatics capabilities from IDBS established chemistry and data management solutions, maintaining its leading edge capability in all areas of chemistry.

IDBS chemistry customers will benefit from a range of new features including: parallel synthesis capability and reaction enumeration, log P and log D calculation, and complete structure-to-name/name-to-structure generation.

"We are pleased to be working more closely with ChemAxon and believe this offers rapid benefits to our current and future customers in chemistry R&D," said Neil Kipling, Founder and CEO at IDBS. "ChemAxon provides excellent cheminformatics technologies which complement our innovative approach to chemical R&D data management."

Alex Drijver, CEO of ChemAxon, commented, "We are delighted to see the extension of this relationship with IDBS; it confirms our emphasis on developing partnerships and will bring immediate benefit to the IDBS ChemBook user community."
