The Clinical Trial Company Attends the Clinical Trials Congress, Mumbai, India, 2010

Ewan Campbell, the director of TCTC, will be attending this congress as part of the UK Trade and Investment mission. Ewan, who will be representing TCTC on the UKTI stand, said “India is an important region for Clinical trials and TCTC are excited to be able to attend this meeting with the UK mission.”

The conference will be discussing the practical and operational realties of successfully conducting research and clinical trials in India. There will be a total of 18 speakers covering sessions including “Bridging the gap between clinical partnerships and operational performance”, “Understanding how the breakdown of the traditional Big Pharma business model impacts the future of clinical trial outsourcing” and “Identifying the restraints holding clinical trials back in India and solutions for breaking free”.

As is widely reported, India is fast becoming a significant hub for conducting global clinical trials. From a small base, India is accelerating and on course to potentially conduct nearly 5% of all global clinical trials by 2012.

India’s clinical trials market represents opportunities for significant revenue growth and cost savings. TCTC will be looking to expand in this area and show how its expertise can help sponsors overcome such challenges as incomplete trials, delay in trial approval and increase Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certified sites and investigators.
