Eppendorf Award for Young European Investigators is Moving

As of 2011 the Eppendorf Award prize ceremony will take place at the new EMBL Advanced Training Centre (ATC) in Heidelberg, Germany. Along with this relocation comes a new entry deadline. Until 15 January 2011, young researchers working in Europe who are not older than 35 years are invited to apply for the Eppendorf Award for Young European Investigators.

The winner of this highly prestigious prize is selected by an independent expert committee chaired by Kai Simons (Max Planck Institute for Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics, Dresden, Germany).

The Award winner 2011 will receive:

  • A prize money of 15,000 Euro
  • An invitation to the prize ceremony at the EMBL Advanced Training Centre in Heidelberg in May/June 2011
  • An invitation to visit Eppendorf AG in Hamburg
  • Coverage of his/her work by Nature in print and in a podcast produced by Nature
