Rescentris Announces SaaS (Software as a Service) Offering of CERF Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN)

Rescentris announced its leading ELN product is available as Software as a Service (SaaS). Cloud-based eCERF™ delivers the full-featured functionality of awardwinning CERF, combining compliant electronic recordkeeping with data and document management to improve laboratory efficiency and access to scientific information.

Rescentris chose to partner with SaaS experts to offer a solution hosted in a HIPAA and SAS 70
compliant data center with dedicated enterprise CERF server instances and databases for each customer
to ensure performance, disaster recovery, and highest security.

Over 25 organisations have used eCERF throughout a six-month testing period. CERF serves any
multidisciplinary R&D organisation requiring recordkeeping for diverse documents, data, and workflows, including discovery research, biology, preclinical, development, and engineering groups. eCERF is rich cross-platform software suited for teams or collaborations of any size. eCERF licensing is flexible, starts at $50/user monthly, and includes remote SaaS e-records archiving.

SaaS ELNs offer rapid deployment, low total cost of ownership, no server hardware/software, minimal IT involvement, and 24/7 access. eCERF enables 21CFR11 compliant electronic lab records and document
management – including SOPs, role-based access controls, time/date stamping, audit trails, digital
signatures, witnessing, and PDF reporting to facilitate preparation for patents and e-Discovery. eCERF
provides fast, intuitive data entry methods, reusable templates, and rich semantic searching.
“Our ‘ELN as a Service’ addresses several industry needs,” stated Rescentris President Jeff Spitzner,
“including agile labs that want the benefits of an ELN – for intellectual property (IP) protection, secure data sharing, rapid communications, searching and finding data – with minimal time and expense. eCERF is adopted rapidly for pilot accounts that can be extended or migrated any time to in-house systems, and is also great for R&D collaborations, even very short-term projects. eCERF enables secure exchange of data and management of document versions while avoiding the inefficiencies and risks of emailing data and IP among research partners.”
