New Product Portfolio: Chemically Defined Supplements

Sheffield Bio-Science, a Kerry Group Business, has formed a strategic global sales and marketing alliance with Girus Life Sciences. Under this partnership, Sheffield Bio-Science will be the exclusive Global Sales, Distribution and Development Partner for Girus Life Sciences’ chemically defined Regocel supplements.

Regocel supplements are small molecule yield enhancers designed to improve cell culture performance. The supplements were developed to enhance protein production while maintaining cell viability, effectively increasing overall bio-manufacturing efficiencies. They are commercially available for use with CHO, Hybridoma, NS0 myeloma, and stem cells.

"Our customers trust us to deliver innovative, superior products to help them optimize and grow their businesses" said Edmond Scanlon, President of Sheffield Bio-Science. "This agreement marks a new dimension for our business as it is our first step into chemically defined supplements."

Through its continued investment in talented expertise and novel technologies, Sheffield Bio-Science continues to strengthen its media optimisation portfolio to deliver innovative, animal component free supplements. Such high quality solutions help customers increase cell proliferation, extend cell viability, and increase target protein production. Customers will now have greater access to the industry’s most innovative and extensive bio-technologies, including small molecule enhancers, hydrolyzed proteins, recombinant proteins, and yeast extracts.
