Systech International and Videojet Brazil Extend Partnership to Meet DRC-54

With the recent passing of DRC-54, "The System for National Control of Medicines" in Brazil on December 10, 2013, Systech International, the global leader in enterprise serialization, authentication, and track and trace solutions, and Videojet Brazil, a leading supplier of encoding and marking solutions, today announced that they have extended their partnership to include Systech’s Citadel cloud-based EPCIS repository, data exchange and regulatory reporting platform.

In 2009, Systech and Videojet joined forces to deliver an end-to end solution to pharmaceutical manufacturers needing to comply quickly with the country’s emerging regulatory requirements. Since that time, Systech and Videojet have had many success stories in implementing serialization with full aggregation that does not only comply with regulatory requirements, but also provides the customer with a solution that gives them value beyond that of just compliance mandates.

Now in 2014, Systech and Videojet are strengthening their relationship with the addition of Citadel, which offers a complete holistic, end-to-end solution for any manufacture that needs to comply with DRC-54. Citadel is the industry’s only cloud-based enterprise serialization platform that offers the full suite of features necessary to serialize product and track its course through the supply chain — enabling regulatory reporting, product verification, systems integration and brand protection services. Citadel will ensure compliance of the supply chain data collection requirements for supply chain partners and any ANVISA reporting requirements once they are officially published.

Videojet Brazil has significant experience and expertise deploying its coding and marking solutions on pharmaceutical packaging lines throughout Brazil as well as deploying complex hardware and software integrations. The company was also a key supplier in the pilot to determine the feasibility of complying with the regulations conducted by ETCO, Brazilian Institute for Ethics in Competition. Therefore, their training and in-region support will significantly help pharmaceutical manufacturers successfully implement serialization and track and trace solutions.

"We are committed to our partnership with Videojet and to the Brazilian market", said Sheldon Feinland VP of Global Sales & Marketing for Systech International. "We have had a lot of success working together with Videojet and are thrilled to introduce our Citadel product into this growing market to help companies not only meet these new regulatory requirements, but also to realize the value beyond compliance that Citadel can provide." Paulo Machado, Pharma Director of VideoJet Brazil said, "After a four-year partnership, we are confident that we have the best solution in the market to offer to our customers, enabling them to comply with the legislation in a very secure and efficient way."
