Along with standard loggers completely food grade, solid and reliable, such as SterilDisk, PasteurDisk, SterilCyl and PasteurCyl, TECNOSOFT has developed a wireless logger used for the same applications but with real time monitoring and online view of the process.
The new data loggers for pasteurisation and sterilisation processes monitoring are the PasteurCyl Radio and the SterilCyl Radio (picture 1), two wireless devices, both food grade, that sends data to a USB Radio Receiver connected to the PC. They have the accuracy and high performances of their non-wireless counterparts, with the same cylindrical shape, even though they are bigger, due to the presence of the radio within them and a a bigger battery for long life.
The software is always the SPD with the Radio feature to show instantly the received temperature data and F0/Pasteurisation Units (PU) curve calculation as the process goes by, real time. It is also possible to set alarms both on the temperature and F0/PU curve and the parameters for this calculation can be configured by the user according to its process. They come with the same external probes of the SterilCyl and PasteurCyl that has a diameter of 3mm (new 5mm diameter, for more tough applications, is coming) and a variable length, according to the chosen diameter (standard lengths are: 20mm, 60mm and 125mm). The material of the body is PEEK and it is completely food grade and the devices can be submersed in liquids and resist high pressure in autoclaves (data are usually sent through the walls
of the autoclaves but there might be some autoclaves that don’t let the signal come out: a special antenna for the receiver is needed, in this case, to be inserted inside the autoclave). The thin probe has a very high response and can be easily inserted in cans, food packages or directly into the food, like meat and ham, using the Fastening System.
This last solution allows you to have just one probe length and adjust its depth in the different packages of your production, using the locking bolt that seals the probe to the package and yet let it slide in and out if needed. Both PasteurCyl Radio and SterilCyl Radio are loggers and transmitters, meaning that you can still download data as a non-wireless data logger, as long as receiving them live via radio. Along with this new data loggers, we invite you to read our tutorial documentation on sterilisation and pasteurisation on our website.
