Qatar and Egypt join hands to set up new pharmaceutical plant

Qatar and Egypt have signed a memorandum of understanding to set up a new pharmaceuticals factory in Qatar, reported BusinessIntelligence Middle East.

According to the news source, the new pharmaceuticals factory will initially manufacture solubles which will be later sent to Egypt for quality assessment.

The news source has quoted Sheikha Ghalia bint Mohammad al-Thani, Qatar’s Minister of Health, as saying: “We may look into manufacturing high quality medicines at optimum costs in collaboration with Egypt. A joint team of experts is to be constituted very soon between the two countries to implement many aspects of cooperation in this field.”
