OptumHealth and State of Ohio renew health contract

OptumHealth, a provider of supplemental healthcare plans, has received a three-year renewal of its behavioral health contract serving 54,000 State of Ohio employees and their families.

OptumHealth will provide mental health and substance abuse treatment solutions that include an extensive network of clinicians to provide easy access to high quality treatment, online resources and intensive case management for high-risk individuals.

Through its DisabilitySolutions program, OptumHealth will continue to help those on mental health short-term disability and reduce its overall cost and duration.

Gregory Bayer, CEO of OptumHealth Behavioral Solutions, said: “For 13 years we have partnered with the State of Ohio to provide its employees and their families with behavioral health services.
