news.Biolase Technology, a dental laser company, has appointed Frederick Capallo as its new interim CFO. Mr Capallo is assuming the responsibilities of David Mulder who assumed the Biolase CEO position earlier.

Prior to joining Biolase, Mr Capallo spent 10 years as director of corporate accounting for Irvine-based Interpore International, a manufacturer and distributor of orthopedic products including spinal implants, bone graft material and minimally invasive products.
Mr Capallo has received a MBA from the University of Baltimore and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Salisbury State University in Maryland.
Mulder said, “Fred served the company well as the corporate controller and as an Interim CFO ahead of my own appointment. We have worked together closely and he has my trust. He is the ideal candidate to help administer the financial aspects of the organization during this interim period. We appreciate his stepping up to the task, and we look forward to his continued contributions.”
